Over the weekend the performance coaching team of Kinetik Tennis Academy travelled across the Jukskei with a group of well-prepared players and their parents, to fight for the spoils at the TSA GN Pro Kennex Mini tennis tournament.
The tournament was played across the city at six different venues. Twenty-six of Kinetik’s players participated and fought tooth and nail in the Pretoria heat. Kinetik players won three titles, had 15 quarter-finalists, 10 semi-finalists, and seven finalists as a result.
We spoke to Director of Tennis, Jean de Lange about the tournament “We are committed to improving our players in our performance junior and senior programmers and know the difference that support from coaches can make when players are in competition, so that is why we as a team of coaches provide warm-up sessions and cover matches of our players to get data and help them with match feedback. We want to add value and support parents that are often left in the cold when it comes to how to approach a tournament professionally to give the child the best chance of playing to their full potential.”
